There is no alternative to ecumenism! But we cannot deny that difficulties are on our way to visible full communion.

Ecumenical spirit is grounded on the Word of God: upon this cornerstone spirituality, liturgy and theology may stand and be firm. This is the goal of our biblical and ecumenical review.

The New Testament believes that the unity of the Church already exists and it is on its way to full realization. The first Christians believed that they are already risen with Christ and are seated with Him on Heaven (Eph 2:6; Col 2:12). NT authors are not speaking of a spiritual resurrection or affirming that God keeps His promise. Not at all! Christians recognize to be in communion with Christ: what belongs to Christ, it is also theirs. The same must be said for the unity of the Church.

Where may we find and experience the unity of the Church?

* First in our life of grace. All Churches are born from Christ's Redemption.
* Secondly, as Christians we share the same hope, even if we do not know how it will be concretely realized.
* Thirdly, we believe in the same Lord Jesus and hold the same Apostolic creeds: we differ only in the way we understand and explain them.

Often we are not informed about what other Churches live and believe; we do not know the history of the Ecumenical Movement from its beginning until now. We just know only biases about the other Churches (we do not realize - for example - that Protestants do believe in the real presence of Christ in bread and wine).

Pope John XXIII invited Christians to look for what unites instead for what divides churches. That was a revolution in comparison to what happened in the past centuries; but now we need to deepen the reasons of our divisions. We need to bring our differences to discussion and to prayer. We may be different, without being divided.

The Ecumenical Movement has experienced a "Copernican revolution". Before there were our Churches at the centre, and Christ moved around them. Now it is reversed: Christ is at the centre, and churches move around Him. Right now we need to go beyond this "Copernican revolution". Every Church needs the other Church: we share what we are and have with others. We belong to different Churches: Anglicans, Roman Catholics, Orthodox, Lutherans, Methodists, Reformed, Pentecostals, Old Catholics. We all strive for Justice and Peace, and Integrity of Creation. Our ecumenical review aims at the accomplishment of this goal.

What is a Church? We accept what the WCC says about the Church. The Church hold the Apostolic and Nicene creeds, and believe in God's Trinity and Incarnation.

In our review you may find articles on Bible study, liturgical inquiries and on spirituality. There is also a calendar list of events in Italy and in the world. There is a specific section dedicated to music and books; even resource for recipes and cooking tips from the different Church traditions.
